The Management Accountant is responsible for preparing, developing, and analysing key financial information to ensure that an organisation's management makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth, and profitability. This role involves financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.

My client is a leading FMCG company specialising in the production, marketing, and distribution of a wide range of consumer products. These products are essential for daily use and include categories such as food and beverages, personal care, household cleaning, and health and wellness items.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, implement, and monitor budgets and forecasts to ensure financial targets are met.
• Cost Analysis: Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted financial performance and provide explanations for variances.
• Financial Planning: Assist in the formulation of strategic and long-term business plans.
• Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, and maintain robust internal controls.
• Advisory Role: Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making processes.
• Project Management: Manage financial aspects of projects, including capital expenditure, project costing, and financial risk assessment.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely provision of required information.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand their financial needs and provide support as required.

Profile

• Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in management accounting or a similar role.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Job Offer

• Hours: Full-time position, 40 hours per week,
• Work Structure: Hybrid - Monday , Wednesday and Friday remote. Tuesday and Thursday Office based
• Hourly rate: 23 - 25
