Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Company: Western State Hospital # of Openings: Multiple Openings Position Type: Full Time position Location: 9601 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA Exp Required: 0 - 30 years Shift Timings: 2:30 P - 11:00 P Job Description: • Assist with the rehabilitation of patients and residents according to the treatment plan • Promote a better understanding of hospital policies • Attend to the general care of patients and residents, provide emotional and physical comfort and safety, and maintain an attractive and comfortable environment • Participate in education programs and treatment team conferences • Care for patients/residents with communicable diseases including necessary sterilization and observation of aseptic techniques • Observe, record, and report the general condition of patients/residents • Participate in providing a therapeutic environment through acceptance of patients and residents behavior, and guidance toward more rational behavior What we're looking for: • Proven ability to discern and apply practical nursing principles and concepts • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to perform and interpret basic physical and treatment techniques • Detail-oriented reporting and ability to relay clear, accurate information Preferred Qualification: • CPR certified
