Job Description

The position available is for an Accounts Payable role, within a not-for-profit organisation, where the main focus will be on maintaining the financial accounts and records.

If you are not local to Birmingham and are based in the surrounding areas my client will consider 1 day a week in the office.

Description

• Managing the accounts payable function and ensuring accuracy of invoicing.
• Processing and reconciling financial transactions.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and performing audits as required.
• Processing foreign currency payments
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Communicating with vendors and suppliers regarding payments.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
• Supporting other members of the Accounting & Finance department as needed.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable should have:

• Prior experience working in a high volume Accounts Payable environment
• Competence in using financial software and systems, including strong excel skills
• Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with external vendors and internal teams.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to work independently.
