Job Description

Principal Electronics Engineer

Edinburgh

Paying up to £65p/h (Outside IR35)

Responsibilities:

Hardware requirements capture and management

Concept development for complex functions and systems

PCB design for FPGA

High-speed digital design and analysis

Integration and testing

Design of supporting electronics, including point of load power and analogue

Production of material for design reviews

Development of test planning, integration and design verification

Mentoring and supervision of more junior team members.

Experience required:

Proficiency with design of high-speed digital PCBs with large FPGAs

Experience with design tool and also in the lab

Designing electronics for harsh environments

PCB for FPGAs

High speed digital interfaces (10 Gbps and faster!)

Experience using: MATLAB, Spice, Hyperlynx

Experience with Mentor DxDesigner & Keysight SIPro/PIPro
