Humanities Teacher - SEMH School (Full-time, Long-term)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school. This is a full-time, long-term role, working with Key Stage 3 and GCSE students. The school provides a nurturing environment for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, and your role will be pivotal in supporting their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality lessons in Humanities (Geography, History, and related subjects) to Key Stage 3 and GCSE students.

Plan, prepare, and assess engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students.

Create a safe and positive learning environment where students feel supported and confident to achieve their potential.

Use a range of teaching strategies to engage students with diverse learning needs.

Work collaboratively with the teaching team and support staff to ensure student's emotional and educational needs are met.

Maintain clear records of student progress and communicate with parents/carers when necessary.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level, preferably with SEMH experience.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to the needs of students with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

ECTs with relevant placement experience will be considered.

Passion for teaching and supporting students with SEMH needs.
