Job Title: Vehicle Architecture Development Engineer

Location: Basildon, Essex / Hybrid - 3 days per week on site

Hourly Rate: £35.65ph Umbrella Co (inside IR35) - RATE NEGOTIABLE

Employment Type: Contract (Initially to the end of December 2025)

Hours: Standard 37.5 Hours Per Week

Job Description:

Vehicle Architecture development Engineer VA engineers are responsible for establishing and delivering the fundamental layout of vehicles including the dimensions; mass balance; occupant positions and accommodation and the mechanical arrangement with geometrical compatibility. VA are the first engineering team involved in the programme and involvement continues to Job#1 and beyond.

Skills Required:

* Excellent project and people management skills, with tenacity in resolving issues.

* Excellent written and oral presentation skills and the ability to interface with senior management.

* Ability to resolve complex, multi-dimensional problems and present solutions with clarity.

Skills Preferred:

* Knowledge of FEDE, PLM, CAE, CAD, Auros - E2KS and Digital Buck Tools.

* CATIA abilities.

Experience Required:

* Delivery of vehicle programs.

* Experience of CAD or Vehicle Architecture related experience.

Experience Preferred:

* Knowledge of commercial vehicle variants / configurations preferred.

Education Required:

* Degree in Engineering discipline.

Additional Information:

Hybrid - Basildon Based and 3 days on site.

Travel: Possibly - Europe.

Candidates must have vehicle based mechanical package knowledge or vehicle architecture experience
