The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to assist our client with the building the infrastructure required for testing their Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) system.

The test environment will have to support scalability, virtualization and automation testing; and will involve the configuration and deployment a 16-blade server system, a Cisco switch and a Cisco router, whilst managing over 400+ Windows 7 and Windows 10 virtual machines with specialised software.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in setting up scalable IT environments that will enable future network, virtualisation and automation testing
• Extensive knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 virtual machine deployment
• An understanding of automation of VM deployment, with the ability to write automation test scripts
• Networking knowledge across Cisco routers and switches, VLAN configuration and routing, etc.
• Exposure to Proxmox would be highly desirable

Role and Responsibilities:

• Configure and deploy Cisco switch and Cisco router for internal routing/VLANS
• Implement VLANs, subnetting and routing for virtual machines and physical infrastructure
• Set up and manage a VM cluster across a 16-blade server system
• Develop automation scripts for VM creation and deployment using automation software or scripts
• Create detailed documentation on VM cluster setup, VM deployment automation, VLAN configurations and network routing
