Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant   

Location: South East London 

Salary: £102.60 - £114.00 per day  

The Role: 

Supporting students with engagement and adopting a creative approach  

Helping with de-escalation of behaviours when needed 

Maintaining safeguarding standards and student records  

Providing 1:1 and group emotional and academic support to students  

Collaborating with the class teacher and/or HLTAs    

The Ideal Behaviour Support Assistant:  

Previous experience working with challenging behaviour or within a PRU 

Excellent communication skills and a willingness to engage  

A desire to understand and help young people, supporting them to achieve their potential  

Experience of positive behaviour management as these students will have elements of SEMH difficulties  

Be approachable, and nurturing with a good sense of humour with an adaptable and flexible nature     

What you need  to be a Behaviour Support Assistant:  

Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs 

Demonstrated experience in working effectively with children  

Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills  

Relevant qualifications in education or support are advantageous but not essential 

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
