Histology Technologist- Bench Supervisor for busy Trauma Hospital Histology Technologist - Bench Supervisor with IHC bench experience This is direct hire/ perm placement Job Description We are seeking a Bench Supervisor for a high-volume, 24-hour laboratory operating Monday through Friday with weekend hours until 3 PM. This is a bench supervisory role overseeing 57 employees with a focus on technical expertise and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, proven supervisory experience, and hands-on technical skills. Position Highlights Role Type: Bench Supervisor Team Size: Supervises 57 employees within a high-volume, 24-hour lab setting Schedule: Monday through Friday with weekend hours until 3 PM Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations, lead staff, and maintain technical proficiency on the bench Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required Experience: 7+ years of supervisory experience with bench expertise; OR 5+ years' supervisory experience with extensive bench work experience. Skills/Experience: Proficiency in technical bench work, with IHC (Immunohistochemistry) experience strongly preferred; Leadership experience in laboratory settings; Prior experience in hospital or lab core settings (Quest, LabCorp, etc.) is acceptable with IHC and histo experience. Additional Requirements: Must have received the first COVID vaccination (no booster required at this time). Support Structure The position will report to Sharon and will collaborate with a team that includes: 3 laboratory leads; An IHC Supervisor; Efforts are also underway to hire an additional technical specialist focusing on quality assurance. Compensation Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 (based on experience) Interview Process Initial phone/Teams interview; Second-round interviews conducted on-site for travelers or in-person for local candidates.
