CWS Health is seeking a local contract Endoscopy Technician for a local contract job in Carmel, New York.

Pay Rate: $22/hr Location: Carmel, NY Contract: 6 months+ Shift: 7:30am - 4pm
Position Overview:
The Endoscopy Technician supports medical procedures by assisting physicians and nurses in the preparation and execution of endoscopic procedures. This role involves managing equipment, ensuring infection control standards, and providing direct support during patient care and specimen handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up procedure rooms, ensuring proper arrangement of supplies and scopes.
Clean and disinfect procedure rooms post-procedure following infection control protocols.
Clean, flush, and maintain scopes according to national infection control standards.
Operate and monitor automated endoscopic reprocessing equipment, including quality assurance and control procedures.
Maintain sterilization processes for instruments, including managing autoclave and spore testing logs.
Assist in handling and transporting specimens to the lab, and patients in and out of procedure rooms.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Computer proficiency.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Technician Program.
Training in endoscopic equipment cleaning and infection control processes.
Preferred:
Prior relevant experience with on-the-job training in an endoscopy setting.
