Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team in the marine transportation industry. The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment on a new build vessel. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Installation:
  • Install and commission new electrical systems, wiring, and equipment on newly built or refurbished vessels.
  • Ensure all installations comply with marine industry safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
  • Use electrical testing equipment to identify electrical faults, circuit problems, or failures in systems.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning electrical components, ensuring minimal downtime of vessels.

Qualifications:

• Education & Certification:
  • Technical degree or certification in electrical engineering or a related field (JIB preferred).
• Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and control systems specific to marine environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Proficient with electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, as required.
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
