Opus People Solutions on behalf of Shropshire Council have an exciting opportunity for a Social worker to join thier community Adults Team.

Duration-12 weeks
Hours- 37 per week
Pay- 32.00 P/H
Location- North Shropshire
The role is hybrid - combination of working from home and office base. you would need to be in the office for duty days, and the majority of the time as we move more towards office based work. Visits are to cover the North of Shropshire so car driver with business insurance is essential.

The role is for a Qualified Social Worker in a Community Adults Team, and this is delivering Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decisions, as well as court work where required. There would also be elements of safeguarding work to be completed, and hospital discharges if allocated. We work with a range of adults with support needs, including older adults, adults with physical disabilities, adults with Dementia, hoarding, self-neglect, substance misuse, and mental health comorbidities.

In this role you will be-

• Responsible for managing their own case load and would have regular supervision with a Senior Social Worker.
• Be part of a team with other Qualified Social Workers, social care practitioners, student social workers and apprentices.
