Job Description

A private client of ours are looking for an experienced Live-in care personal assistant who will be looking after someone with additional needs based in Islington, London.

The role also includes elements of personal care, cooking, shopping, cleaning, and other household duties.

Daily Responsibilities:

Service User’s Bedroom

* Assist with transfers (getting in and out of bed).

* Change bed sheets and straighten the room.

* Make the bed.

Personal Care

* Assist with transfers (e.g., from wheelchair to bed, using the toilet, getting in and out of the bath).

* Assist with bathing, toileting, dressing, exercises, and shaving.

* Assist with personal grooming (brushing hair and teeth, clipping fingernails or toenails).

Meals and Nutrition

* Plan and prepare meals and snacks.

* Serve food and provide company at mealtimes.

* Clean dishes or load them into the dishwasher.

* Wipe kitchen counters and stove surfaces.

Household Duties

* Clean the tub, toilet, and sink.

* Empty trash bins in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedroom.

* Sort recycling items.

* Secure the home when leaving.

* Perform general and thorough house cleaning.

* Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry.

* Water plants.

* Vacuum carpets and floors or sweep hard floors.

* Maintain the garden.
