My Client, a large global brand is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Specialist on a initial 6 month contact. The role is Hybrid (based London and Sussex) and Inside IR35.
Safety/Disability Specialist, Global Workplace Safety

As part of the Global Workplace Safety Team, the Safety Specialist will report to the EMEA Safety Manager, Global Workplace Safety (GWS) within the Global Real Estate and Workplace Experience (GREWE) function. They will be responsible for supporting and facilitating Safety and our Workplace Adjustment programmes across the UK and certain European markets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide the link between third party disability provider and colleagues.
- Strong knowledge of Equality Act focused on disability requirements
- Provide timely safety and workplace adjustments advice.
- Assess and mitigate risk exposure associated too safety and workplace adjustments.
- Support the EMEA Safety Manager in delivering initiatives aligned with the EMEA program.
- Build partnerships with key stakeholders and business partners.
- Promote a positive safety and diverse culture.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
The role is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of associated safety programmes & policies. This position is responsible for providing safety and disability advice and support; specifically, the role requires:
- Key partner for colleagues and our disability provider
- Ensure compliance against market safety regulations
- Deliver the safety and workplace adjustment agenda with stakeholders.
- Promote a positive safety culture in conjunction with the Global Workplace Safety team initiatives.
- Communicate safety metrics and analytics to leadership, stakeholders, and relevant committees.
- Define the development and delivery of safety-related employee training and awareness.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments and inspections; identify and follow up on the corrective actions.
- Effectively communicate with other H&S stakeholders and business leaders to ensure safety requirements are integrated into the workplace.
- Coordinate the Incident Management Reporting and Investigations.
- Strong ergonomic background including workstation evaluations.
- Participate and contribute to the various H&S internal forums, injury case management
Job Specific Requirements:

- Strong communications and teamwork skills.
- Good influencing and persuading skills.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations/legislation and workplace ergonomics.
- Knowledge of a broad range of safety subjects related to office, airport lounges and call centre activities.
- Recognised accreditation as a Safety Practitioner preferred or on the pathway
- Experience in ISO 45001 management system.
- Able to undertake workplace inspections and audits.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written is a must.
- Technology savvy (Intranet, Excel, Word, Data Management)
- Additional language beneficial
