A Sennen Education Mentor is enthusiastic about improving the livelihood and life chances of children. They have a powerful impact on young people's lives, through being a consistent, friendly and trustworthy influence.

The main aim of a school Mentor is to reduce the harmful effects of Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties that currently affect the Learner. We are working with a school who are looking for a Youth Mentor to support their pupils.

School Mentor Responsibilities:

Driving responsibilities

Mentor young people

Review EHCP/ Behaviour and use findings to inform the construction of a positive behaviour scheme

Become a positive role model for the young person

Liaise with SENCo, Classroom Teacher and any other key professionals in pupil's education, to inform them of progress .

To join us and be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of six weeks experience of supporting young people which you can evidence with references.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to pay for a new one)
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Provide a CV with up to date employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
