Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Contractor)

Contract Duration: 4 Months

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

System Design and Integration:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate electrical systems into the overall design.

· Design and layout electrical systems, encompassing power distribution, wiring harnesses, connectors, control modules, and charging systems.

· Ensure all electrical designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

Prototyping and Testing:

· Work closely with testing teams to conduct functional, performance, and safety tests on electrical systems.

· Diagnose and resolve any issues that arise during testing phases.

Documentation and Reporting:

· Develop detailed documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical reports related to electrical design.

· Effectively communicate design concepts and findings to team members, management, and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years of industry experience with an apprenticeship qualification.

· Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD or similar).

· Experience with 3D CAD systems (e.g., Inventor) is advantageous but not essential.

· Familiarity with CAN Bus systems.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

· Experience in preparing and submitting detailed design specifications for high-value projects.

· Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to excellence.

· Willingness to embrace innovation and creativity; lateral thinking is encouraged.
