Thrive Shepton are looking to recruit for a Van Driver - In Blandford Forum. We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our clients team and cover the existing team of driver's holidays throughout the year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting Frozen Meals from our warehouse to various customer addresses, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail.

This is a Holiday Cover position that requires the ideal candidate to be flexible and available to cover ALL shifts offered. (You will be provided with a cover plan 1 month in advance)

Cover is a max of 193 working days Monday- Friday

Main responsibilities are as follows:

Be an ambassador for the company and always delivering with exceptional service

Must have excellent time keeping with ability to manage time whilst delivering.

Deliver to our customers according to route plan guidance from office and customer delivery time schedules. - all customers have a delivery time slots that needs to be adhered too.

Team player and willing to support other team members to achieve a common goal of excellent customer service.

Have the ability to undertake pre-shift inspection of your van, to include oil, water, tyres and full visual safety inspection.

Clean and refuel your van as and when needed - a clean presentation of the van is essential.

Customer focused and willing to contact the office with any discrepancies or delays

Customer confidentiality

Excellent Cash Handling experience, showing ability to cash up your round accurately at the end of each working day. With a tidy and comprehensive paperwork approach to support the office.

Assist in warehouse duties as needed.

Essential qualifications/Personal Qualities:

Desired experience of multi-drop delivery role, with a customer focus mind

Excellent knowledge of the Dorset area and surrounding villages as they cover the following post codes: BA8. BA20, BA21, BA22, BH19, BH20, DT1, DT2, DT3, DT4, DT5, DT6, DT7, DT8, DT9, DT10, DT11, EX12, EX13, EX24, SP7, SP8, TA13, TA14, TA15, TA16, TA17, TA18, TA19, TA20

Own Transport

DBS is essential and will need to see a copy of it prior to employment

Basic car maintenance knowledge - i,e Van checks, able to change light bulbs on vehicles, top up fluids like break and oil with confidence and change a tyre without the need for assistance.

Flexible manner to cover emergencies

Team player with very much a can do approach to supporting others

Max travel from DT11 7UZ - 30 mins

Full Clean UK Driving License for manual vehicle use

Physically fit

Numerate & Literate with secondary level education completed at GCSE level or equivalent.

Good understanding of vehicles and maintenance checks, and able to change a tyre without assistance.

Minimum age 25 for insurance reasons.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday

0700 start

Must be flexible as sometimes due to matters out of their control you could be working a little later.

Pay rate:

£12 per hour
