Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced data cabling engineer who has worked on a wide range of cabling and hardware products. A three-month contract which could go to permanent for the right candidate.

Job description:

* Travelling across the North East.

* Work involves visiting various schools

* An understanding and appreciation of health and safety practices

* Onsite installation of data cabling project and associated hardware

* Providing excellent customer service and support

* The ability to work alone and as part of a team

* Working collaboratively with contractors on site where necessary

* Basic knowledge of networking equipment including switches and WiFi access points

* Installation, termination and testing of copper cabling

* Fibre optic cabling

* Cabling containment

Personal Specification:

* Enhanced DBS is essential

* IPAF/ PASMA certified is essential

* ECS is essential

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Experience of installation, termination and testing of copper cabling

* Experience of installation, termination and testing of fibre optic cabling

* Experience of installation of cabling containment solutions

* Experienced at the correct and safe use of power tools
