Customer Service Manager – Maternity Cover

* Salary: £34,000 to £42,000, depending upon experience

My client is a growing company that prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service. With a strong reputation in their industry, they ensure smooth operations and first-class customer interactions at every stage of the supply chain. Right now, we’re looking for an experienced Customer Service Manager to lead and support the fantastic team while our current manager is on maternity leave. As we continue to expand, there may be further opportunities beyond this contract for the right candidate.
The Role
As our Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of customer service professionals, ensuring they have the guidance, support, and motivation they need to excel. Your role will involve:
* Coaching & Mentoring: Developing the team’s skills and confidence, helping them navigate challenges effectively.
* Performance Management: Monitoring performance, setting objectives, and driving team performance.
* Problem-Solving & Escalations: Handling complex queries and escalations, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
* Process Improvement: Identifying areas for efficiency gains and service enhancements.
* Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth processes.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone who is passionate about customer experience and team development. Ideally, you’ll have:
* Proven experience in a Customer Service Manager role, preferably within supply chain, or transport.
* A track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle escalations confidently.
* Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
* A natural leader with great communication and interpersonal skills.
