Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor

Location: Beckenham

Contract Duration: Freelance / Temp to perm

Salary: £275 - £300 per day

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Project Quantity Surveyor to join a successful, medium sized main contractor based in Beckenham. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an experienced Senior Surveyor looking after 2 projects with a combined construction value of £25m. The projects cover both residential new build (RC Frame) and an industrial refurbishment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the procurement process for key packages, across both projects Ensure that all procurement activities are in line with the project requirements and budget.

* Assist in the selection, negotiation, and appointment of subcontractors for specified packages.

* Monitor performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and timelines.

* Process subcontractor valuations and invoices for specific packages. Ensure that all payments are accurate, on time, and in accordance with the contract terms.

* Provide regular updates and reports on procurement, valuation processing, and cost management to senior surveyor.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on residential developments (preferably high-rise or RC frame).

* Strong understanding of procurement processes, subcontractor management, and cost control.

* Experience in managing and processing subcontractor valuations and invoices.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
