A bustling and vibrant 4-from entry school in the heart of Ealing Broadway is looking for a strong, resilient teaching assistant to join their school ASAP!

The role will be working as a 1:1 teaching assistant supporting a boy in reception (EYFS) who has Autism (ASD).

The student is verbal and can display challenging behaviour but is not aggressive.

As a 1:1 teaching assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 support to the pupil with Autism (ASD)

Facilitate the child's communication and language development

Collaborate closely with the class teacher and the SENCO

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil, promoting their social integration with peers

Requirements:

Experience supporting children with Autism (ASD) or similar special educational needs

Have previous experience as a 1:1 teaching assistant

Knowledge with challenging behaviour, including behaviour management techniques and the ability to adapt them to meet individual needs

Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs

Able to enforce routine and boundaries

Be kind, intuitive and have a good sense of humour!
