Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Crumpsall, Manchester (M8)
Salary: 12.83 - 13.83 per hour
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Start Date: After February Half Term
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

The Role: Teaching Assistant

This is a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant position, working Monday to Friday, with a view to start after the February half term. The role is expected to be based in Lower Key Stage 2 (LKS2), but there is also potential for a Teaching Assistant to be placed in Key Stage 1 (KS1) depending on experience and school requirements.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

• Supporting pupils in LKS2 (or KS1, depending on need) with their learning and development.
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
• Working with small groups and providing one-to-one support where necessary.
• Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils in developing their confidence and independence.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and ensuring all children feel safe and supported.

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is desirable.
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and patient approach to working with children.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
