Job Overview
A Roofer is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Duties
- Installing new roofs using different materials such as asphalt, metal, slate, and tiles.
- Repairing and replacing damaged or worn-out roofing systems.
- Applying waterproof coatings and insulation to prevent leaks.
- Inspecting roofs to assess damage and recommend necessary repairs.
- Cutting, shaping, and fitting roofing materials according to specifications.
- Working with scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment to access rooftops.
Skills
- Experience in roofing or general construction.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of different roofing materials and installation techniques.
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday
- 8am- 4pm (3:30pm finishes Fridays)
- £15.85- £17.50 P/H
