We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, resilient and diligent administrator to join our Exams Integrity team.
AQA's safeguarding work sits within the Exams Integrity team and works across the organisation it provides support, training and advice on safeguarding issues and receives all referrals where there is a concern about a candidate. This is usually through written content in an exam script but also can be through social media, our customer services team or our colleagues who visit centres.
This interesting and challenging role will require you to provide a high level of administrative support within the Exams Integrity Department during our busiest period of the academic year. The role will involve processing high volumes of work, specifically our safeguarding referrals, though you may be asked to assist with our other work areas. Work areas include Candidate malpractice, estimations, safeguarding, social media monitoring, very late arrivals and workforce planning.
To be successful for the role you will need to have the following skills:
Solid administrative experience
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal communication skills and a confident telephone manner
The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Resilience to process sometimes distressing information
To clearly express key information in writing
Ability to work both independently and supportively with a small team
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting workloads
You will be required to have a flexible approach to work and the ability to prioritise work according to changing circumstances and business needs. This will require at least 2 days a week in the office, more may be required depending on the team work
Experience of working with children and families or in a safeguarding role previously would be advantageous. Full training and support will be given.
Contract details:
Location: Central offices on the University of Manchester campus, M15 6EX
Pay: 13.60 per hour
Contract Date: 12 May 2025 - 15 August 2025
Working hours: Full time 35 hours over Monday to Friday., possible weekends over peak
