Job Title: Senior Design Manager

Location: West London

Rate: £600 to £700 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract: 12 Months

We are looking for a Senior Design Manager for a 12 month contract position in West London. The Senior Design Manager will quickly become an integral part of the site based team and tasked with the management and development of 6 Design Managers constructing 5 seperate buildings in West London as part of a much larger project.

The Senior Design Manager will be leading the Stage 5 Design and responsible for leading and co-ordinating all design related activities. Some of the Senior Design Managers main duties will include:

Working closely with the Design Managers and Design Assurance Coordinators throughout the Stage 5 design development process.

Manage all design activities related to the construction and fit out of 5 projects including blockwork, fire-proofing, steelwork, doors, drainage, building services and more.

Liaise with the design consultant, MEP teams, Engineering teams, Quality Assurance teams, Planners, Commercial teams and others

Manage the stage 5 design process and report to the project lead, senior management and client as required

Senior Design Managers applying for this position will need:

Previous managerial experience

Experience in change control design management

Strong reporting experience

Strong stakeholder management skills

NEC Contract knowledge

Previous experience working in the fit out sector is crucial

Experience in Stage 5 design and managing and coordinating specialist contractors will be an advantage.

This is a 12 month contract opportunity with a tier one main contractor. You'll be required on site 4 days a week and the rate is £600 to £700 per day (inside IR35).
