Job Description

A main contractor is recruiting Project Manager to deliver a highways project in Barnstaple, North Devon. The business delivers projects across the UK in highways and infrastructure for governing bodies and private sector clients with the additional security of long-term frameworks in the local area.

Project Management duties include:

* Ensuring each project has risk assessments and method statements in place prior to construction

* Manage designs from the inhouse and external designers

* Support the project team with construction methodology and sequencing

* Collaborate with the project team on resource, plant and material requirements

* Training and mentoring the junior members of the engineering team

* Demonstrate value engineering throughout the construction process

* Working with the estimators advising on methodology

* Raising early warnings, compensation events and assisting the commercial team with final accounts

* Main point of the contact for the client advising on costs, programme and general enquiriesThis Role is a CIS assignment, and the successful candidate will join an enthusiastic long term project.
