Job Description

I am recruiting for a Senior Buyer on a part time basis (4 days a week) for my client in Norwich.  This is a maternity cover position and an immediate start is preferred.  

Working alongside the merchandising team and closely with the wholesale team, the senior buyer will support and drive the personal development of the buying team supporting them on core buying skills and their development.  

Duties include: 

Responsibility for branded product buying 

Assisting with selection and ranging for online and stores 

Review the range with the team and ensure all opportunities are explored 

Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products 

Assist with forecasting sales for product platforms 

Lead the weekly trade meeting 

Managing a team of four 

Requirements for the role: 

Excellent IT skills 

Strong analytical skills 

Self motivated 

Strong commercial awareness 

Ability to lead and present 

Experience in retail buying would be an advantage.
