Academics, Canterbury are working with a "Good" school in Broadstairs, Kent who are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Mentor. This role is to start in April 2025 and is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting students' well-being and personal development in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and support to students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

Help students navigate challenges and build positive relationships within the school environment

Work closely with the pastoral team, including Heads of Year and learning support staff

Support with the delivery of interventions for students at risk of exclusion or disengagement

Act as a role model, offering encouragement and promoting positive behaviour and well-being

Liaise with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure students are receiving the necessary supportWhat Academics are Looking For:

Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or pastoral setting

A strong understanding of pastoral care and a commitment to supporting students' personal and social development

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff
