Site Reliability Engineer - DV Cleared

Location: London (Westminster)

Contract: 6 months+

Rate: 700 - 725 per day pay inside ir35

UKIC DV clearance required for this role

Responsibilities:

• Monitor various pipelines/feeds/portals - raise issues when they occur and resolve if possible. If issue cannot be resolved, direct it to the right developer/teams within the Product group
• Automation of engineering processes to optimise and improve efficiency, where possible
• Maintain client environments, licences updates, support planned outages
• Maintain and support monitoring tools and applications
• Release - manage and orchestrate the release from multiple teams/developers to the point of handover i.e., start of monitoring of new capabilities
• Version control, unit testing, integration testing, UAT testing
• Writing and testing code/scripts, refining existing code, peer review and release whilst improving collaboration, efficiency, and quality throughout the software development
• Research, design and document development of capabilities and applications (for example monitoring tool), investigate issues, resolution of issues and automation of engineering processes to optimise and improve efficiency
• LS support tasks for AWS infrastructure
• Candidates must be willing and able to participate in an on-call rota which includes evenings and weekends, there is an uplift when on call

Skills required:

• Preferably knowledge of Python, Linux, SAS, Oracle DB or working knowledge of databases and SQL with aneagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Previous SRE/DevOps experience would be desirable. Right attitude to learn new tools and technologies.
• The client is in the early stages of moving on from improvised tech to cloud technology (AWS), any AWS observability experience would be desirable too.
