Salary: £80 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Bristol, supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA. This setting provides specialised and tailored support for each student, working collaboratively with parents and carers to promote elevated targets, progress, and achievement. The school upholds a high standard of education, placing emphasised importance on the provision of social, emotional and mental health-centred programmes that help students to thrive and reach their full potential.

The school is seeking a driven and knowledgeable SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA to take on this long-term role, with potential for this to become a permanent placement for the right candidate. This role is dynamic in nature, involving the support of children with varied diagnosis through 1:1 tutoring and alternative learning provisions. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA will bring a unique and adaptable skill set, with the ability to overcome challenges and positively mentor behaviour across the school environment.

The position will involve working with students who require guidance and mentorship in developing key skills, such as emotional literacy and maturity, to support their individual social, emotional, and mental health needs.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA will have:

Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities

Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours

Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent

Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
