Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse (Band 6)

Location: Somerset

Duration: 3 months (with potential extension)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: TBC (subject to extension)

Rate of Pay: £26.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) and play a key role in improving the lives of adults with mental health conditions. In this role, you will:

✔ Manage a caseload of patients with mental health difficulties

✔ Assess & manage risk, ensuring patient safety

✔ Deliver brief interventions and monitor mental health state

✔ Conduct assessments & clinics (if an RMN)

✔ Participate in duty work, supporting the wider team

✔ Work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

✔ Valid NMC registration (RMN) or Social Work qualification

✔ Experience working in adult community mental health services

✔ Strong assessment, risk management & communication skills

✔ Ability to work autonomously & within a team

✔ In-person work preferred, but remote considered for the right candidate

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a full-time position from Monday to Friday (9-5) with flexibility where possible. The contract is initially 3 months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
