Complex Healthcare Assistant (Children) – Nights Only

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (NE38)

Hours: 50 hours per week (12-hour night shifts)

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour (Weeknights) | £14.50 per hour (Weekend nights)

Are you a compassionate and experienced Healthcare Assistant looking for a rewarding role in complex care? We are seeking a dedicated Complex Healthcare Assistant to provide overnight support for children with complex medical needs in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality, person-centered care to children with complex needs

• Managing tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, nebulisers, and PEG feeding

• Monitoring vital signs and responding to any changes in the child’s condition

• Delivering care in line with individual care plans

• Ensuring a safe and comfortable night-time routine

Requirements:

• Experience in tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, nebulisers, and PEG feeding ( 5 days mandatory training fully paid )

• Previous experience in complex paediatric care is desirable

• A caring, empathetic, and patient approach

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
