Maintenance Caretaker, Temporary, SE15

Ongoing, £14ph-£16ph depending on experience, 35 hours a week

Immediate start for a hardworking Maintenance Operative/Caretaker to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents, staff and visitors at this busy student accommodation.

Duties will include:

• Undertake daily inspections of premises (lighting, heating, fire alarms)
• Ensure adoption and compliance with all health and safety codes of practice.
• Carry out general reactive and preventative maintenance tasks involving plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating
• Site patrols to ensure a clean, safe and secure environment
• Undertake cleaning duties of communal areas and grounds including jetwashing, sweeping
• Deep clean ground floor windows, doors & external surfaces and ensure bin stores are tidy collected on time.
• Assist in the monitoring and managing of supplies and equipment.
• Work on a rota that will include weekends at times.

• Requirements

• Proven Maintenance/Handyman/Caretaker experience.
• Proven skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating.
• Experience of understanding handling of cleaning products
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to work well in a team or
• Reliable and able to solve problems
