Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Plymouth

Rate: £63 - £76 per hour (Inside IR35, via umbrella)

Contract: 12 months

We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to support the delivery of key infrastructure projects. This role will focus on the design and substantiation of heavy civil engineering and building structures, particularly vehicle impact barriers and gates.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver civil/structural engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule, and cost.

Manage technical aspects from project initiation through to completion.

Oversee design documentation to ensure compliance with agreed standards, schedules, and budgets.

Ensure effective quality management and risk assessment throughout the engineering process.

Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary environment, liaising with various project stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required:

Strong background in the design and substantiation of heavy civil structures.

Experience with vehicle impact barriers and gates is highly desirable.

Knowledge of building services design and installation.

Familiarity with engineering processes in a highly regulated environment.

Experience working across the full design lifecycle.

Proficiency in engineering documentation, calculations, and drawing management.

Qualifications:

Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or significant demonstrable experience.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced civil/structural engineer to contribute to a high-profile project while enjoying the flexibility of remote work with occasional travel to Plymouth.
