As a Platform Implementation Technician, you’ll support the Adviser Business Readiness Team in the delivery of multiple project workstreams within the External Business Readiness area of our re-platforming project.
Ultimately you will be striving to successfully deliver the re-platforming project within planned deadlines, by assisting the Platform Implementation Project Manager to manage the assigned workstreams and people, and planning and implementing a wide range of project tasks within the various workstreams of the Adviser Business Readiness area of the project.
In this role you’ll spend your time:
* Managing the assigned workstreams and people within the Adviser Business Readiness Team to deliver its objectives within the External Business Readiness workstream of the new Platform project.
* Leading and/or supporting assigned project workstreams within the Adviser Business Readiness area of the new Platform project.
* Building and maintaining a good working relationship with the Adviser Business Readiness Project Manager.
* Positively managing change, including supporting the teams’ continuous improvement through assessing and monitoring effectiveness of processes, systems, and team performance.
* Influencing and coaching staff, to deliver excellent project support, utilising project artefacts to produce regular high quality status reporting and outputs.
* Resource and succession planning including recruitment, training and development, and performance management of team.
* Providing high quality weekly status reporting for assigned project workstreams to the Project Manager and Management.
* Assisting with other project workstreams as required by the Adviser Business Readiness Team.
* Working across all business areas and building relationships with key stakeholders to plan and deliver project tasks.
* Helping to define and deliver a repeatable re-platforming project process.
* Delivering training, where and as deemed appropriate, to internal staff and external Advisors.

We’ve always placed more importance on cultural contribution above technical ability, but we’d really like you to have:
* Experience of working within the financial services industry or related investment product knowledge, along with experience of managing both internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience of working on projects, preferably within the financial services industry, and ideally a platform transformation project.
* Experience of people management and managing/assisting with managing a team.
* Strong presentation skills of self and pre-prepared materials to individuals and groups as required.
* Demonstrate a competent and professional image of self and the department amongst colleagues and external clients.
* Excellent time management and productivity.
* Good influencing, negotiating and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and deadline driven
