Greater Anglia’s IT department are looking for an IT Information Security Analyst to join the team in a fast-paced environment with technology at the heart of what we deliver. We have a fantastic new opportunity based in Stratford at our head office One Stratford Place (OSP). Please note that this is a fixed term position expected to last 18 months
The Role
The purpose of this multi-faceted role includes the day-to-day management of cyber protection, detection and response technologies, monitoring, analysing security alerts, communicating with and supporting end users, and stakeholders. You will be collaborating with third party service providers and managing first and second line security-related support tickets throughout the incident lifecycle.
In addition, you will also support the IT Information Security Manager with internal projects, by auditing and reporting for business compliance with Information Security governance policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a colleague who has experience working in an information security and/or technical infrastructure role with a working knowledge of Information & Cyber Security processes. You should have knowledge of Information Security Frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, PCIDSS, Cyber Essentials.
Key Responsibilities.
* Manage multiple parallel activities while adapting to changing priorities within a busy IT department.
* Maintain a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, security architecture, cloud technologies, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
* Leverage knowledge and experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR/XDR), Email and Web Gateways, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Vulnerability Management systems.
* Understand Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in relevant contexts.
* Manage security in EntraID and M365 environments, including implementation of security policies such as for Information Protection (IP) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
* Apply analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving in various situations.

* Uses initiative to identify where they can add value and improvements.
* Understands the risks and checks needed when using privileged access.
* Utilise M365 and Excel effectively to support various tasks and projects.
* Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with GDPR regulations within IT practices.
