We are seeking a Senior Planner to join our team for a contract role based out of Derby working on a substation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning and scheduling activities, ensuring that all construction activities are completed on time and within budget. This role demands a proactive and strategic approach to planning, with a focus on optimising project timelines and resources. The Senior Planner will play a crucial role in liaising with design and site teams, ensuring that project objectives are clearly understood and met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil/electrical engineering, particularly with substation projects, and will be adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The successful candidate for this role will have:

Previous experience of project planning on substation projects

Strong organisational skills

Cost control and budgeting

Risk management

Collaborative planning experience

Experience in civil engineering

Substation project experience

Experience in using P6, MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite

Certifications & Standards:

Relevant Civil Engineering degree or equivalent/work experience
