EDS Lead Engineer - 39932 - £33.25/hr umbrella rate

What You Will Do:

• Drive the delivery of vehicle Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS), focusing on cost, weight, quality, and functional performance.
• Maintain VEPS tracker and set up RMDV for EDS, ensuring all technical requirements are met.
• Collaborate closely with various business functions including Marketing and Sales, Manufacturing, and Special Vehicles to align EDS strategies.
• Utilize your exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage a high, multitask workload effectively.
• Communicate clearly across all levels within the company, from production line to director level, presenting technical information with clarity and confidence.
• Engage in technical problem resolution and support the review of product actions to ensure robust implementation and compatibility with downstream systems.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven EDS technical skills with an understanding of key EDS standards and design requirements.
• Strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills, capable of working closely with various business functions.
• Experience within a multi discipline Engineering team, preferably in automotive engineering design, development, and delivery.
• A working knowledge of System validation processes, Change Control, Product Definition, and Change Management processes.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and adaptability to company-specific systems (knowledge in WERS, AIMS, RMDV, ECRs is a plus).
