Job Description

A freelance, inside IR35 opportunity exists for as a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join the team on a large infrastructure project within the civil engineering construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction work complies with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor and evaluate construction materials, workmanship, and overall project quality.
• Pre action inspections, witness testing, signing off and reporting thereof.
• Identify and report any non-conformance issues, defects, or deviations from project plans.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to implement quality control measures.
• Conduct quality audits and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Verify that completed work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in civil engineering or construction projects for tier one UK contractors.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry regulations.
• Familiarity with quality assurance procedures, ISO standards, and safety guidelines.
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
