Salary: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

If so, GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Sheffield. This role is ideal for individuals who are considering a future career in teaching or have experience working with young people.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students remain engaged and on task in the absence of their regular teacher. You will manage classroom behaviour effectively, foster a positive learning environment, and support students with their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes across various subjects, delivering pre-prepared lesson materials.
• Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, ensuring students stay focused.
• Support students with their learning while upholding school policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and school leadership to provide continuity in learning.
• Step into different subject areas as required, adapting to a dynamic school environment.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring capacity.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A passion for supporting student learning and development.
• A degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• A proactive and flexible approach to working in different school settings.
