Cover Supervisors KS3 to KS4

Location: Barnsley
Salary: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

If so, GSL Education are seeking Cover Supervisors (CS) to support KS3 and KS4 students in schools across Barnsley. This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching or those with experience working with young people in an educational environment.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will take responsibility for supervising lessons in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning. You will deliver pre-planned lesson materials, manage classroom behaviour, and provide support to students where needed.

Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor (CS):

• Supervise students in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring lesson continuity.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Uphold school behaviour policies and encourage student participation.
• Provide assistance to students, ensuring they remain on task and engaged.
• Adapt to different subject areas and school environments as required.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, or mentoring capacity.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A confident and adaptable approach to working in different classroom settings.
• A degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• A passion for supporting students and contributing to their education.
