We are currently looking for a Senior / Civil Structural Engineer for one of our clients in Surrey. The Civil & Structural Engineer will be part of a larger team working on Detailed Design & FEED projects in the O&G and Hydrogen industries.

Location: London

Contract/Permanent: Contract, Inside IR35

Key Duties will include:

* Support the Lead Civil/Structural Engineer on the project.

* Assist in the development of the Scope of Work for Plant Buildings ‘design and build’ contracts.

* Provide hands on technical support with the development of foundations and steelwork structures concepts during the Proposal to generate the MTO Estimate.

* Assist with the development of the Functional Execution strategy.

* Provide hands on technical support to develop the proposal concepts further in the Basic Engineering stage and update the MTO.

* Provide technical support during the detail design stage to review the work of Others against the Basic concepts.

* Suggest economical ways in designing the work.

Requirements:

* The Senior Civil/Structural Engineer shall hold an engineering degree in Civil Engineering and preferably a chartered engineer in either the United Kingdom Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers or equivalent recognized Institution.

* ONSHORE O&G industrial experience (industrial buildings/structures, piperacks, concrete structures, RC foundations design).

* Civil and Structural experience in a Process Design Industry.

* Shall be proficient in the tasks below.

* Foundation design both shallow and piled for a variety of structures - dynamic equipment e.g. compressors, building foundations, static equipment and piperack structures

* The structural design of site built steelwork such as piperacks, buildings, Equipment supports.

* Design of modular structures (piping modules, equipment skids)

* Underground gravity drainage experience is an advantage

* Have knowledge in the use of industry wide software package – STAAD-Pro,

* Use of various international design standards – AISC, IBC,ASCE, Eurocodes
