This fantastic primary school in South Gloucestershire is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team after as soon as possible to work with a pupil in Year 1. They are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join their highly regarded South Gloucestershire primary school. They have excellent facilities with fantastic outdoor space for the children to enjoy.

Your new role

For this Teaching Assistant job in South Gloucestershire, you will be working with a pupil in Year 1 on a 1:1 basis. The pupil requires additional support throughout their school day and presents with demand avoidance. SENCo is available to support the Teaching Assistant alongside the class teacher to ensure the pupil is supported in the best way. Being creative through your language and support to engage the pupil in learning is essential.

What you'll need to succeed

• You will have specific school-based experience in a Teaching Assistant job.
• Experience supporting a pupil with similar additional needs
• Experience dealing with challenging behaviours
• Two previous long term placement references completed
