What You’ll Be Doing

Join our team as a Dual Diagnosis Specialist Nurse and play a key role in improving the lives of individuals with co-existing mental health and substance misuse issues. In this role, you will:

Provide specialist mental health assessments and deliver tailored interventions

Develop and implement joint working protocols between mental health and substance misuse services

Support and train colleagues working with dual diagnosis service users

Identify gaps in service provision and contribute to pathway and service design

Improve referral pathways and communication between key services

Manage a caseload of dual diagnosis service users as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A current and valid NMC registration and pin

Experience in substance misuse and/or mental health settings

Experience working with individuals with co-morbid mental health and substance misuse issues

Case management experience with clients with complex needs

Knowledge and skills in therapeutic interventions for dual diagnosis

Understanding of current mental health, substance misuse, and dual diagnosis policies

Working Hours & Contract Duration

This role offers a flexible locum position requiring availability from Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM. The contract is initially for three months with ongoing potential for extension based on performance and service needs.
