Quality Inspector – Temporary Contract

Location: Co. Louth, Ireland 

Salary: €35,000 - €38,000 per annum (FTC)

Contract: Specified purpose for at least six months, with the possibility of a permanent contract

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, shift work may be required

Syntech Recruitment are partnering with our client to recruit a Quality Inspector for a specified purpose contract. This role involves conducting quality inspections in line with product quality plans to ensure high standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with customer specifications and documented quality plans, ensuring checks are carried out accurately and recorded efficiently

Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating issues to production personnel

Liaise with counterparts on other shifts to ensure continuity

Participate in the training of personnel on quality-related matters

Carry out new process and equipment approval sampling

Identify non-conformances and failures and initiate corrective actions

Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented

Contribute to continual improvement projects and teams

Attend meetings as required

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace in line with 5S guidelines

Undertake any other duties as reasonably required 

Requirements

1-2 years of experience in a similar role within an engineering environment

Competency in using a range of precision inspection instruments, including callipers, gauges, and micrometres

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications

Familiarity with both imperial and metric measuring systems

Understanding of calibration systems for inspection equipment and gauges

Excellent attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
