Project Planner – South West (Contract)

Rate: £270 per day (Contract)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to join a dynamic project team on a contract basis in the South West. This role is ideal for a professional with strong NEC contract planning experience, looking to contribute to the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure projects.

The Project Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating project programmes, ensuring full compliance with NEC contract requirements and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, maintain, and update the project programme in line with NEC contract requirements.

* Work closely with the Project Management team to translate objectives into detailed plans and schedules.

* Identify and report on project delays, providing solutions to mitigate impact.

* Implement planning, monitoring, and control processes to ensure timely progress reporting and risk assessment.

* Facilitate the early warning process, identifying risks and assisting in mitigation strategies.

* Ensure accurate submission of revised programs, forecasts, and contract modifications.

* Conduct collaborative planning sessions with clients and stakeholders for seamless project execution.

* Utilise critical path analysis, earned value management, and other tools for effective progress monitoring.

* Prepare and present progress reports and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.

* Maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams, ensuring open communication and alignment.

Requirements & Skills:

* Proficiency in Microsoft Project.

* Strong understanding of NEC contracts and planning requirements.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

* Ability to work independently to produce project programmes.

* Proactive approach to identifying risks and solutions.

* Team player with a drive for continuous improvement.

* Strong motivational and organisational skills.
