Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and committed Religious Education (RE) teacher to join our school on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to provide full-time cover until May 2025. From May onwards, the cover will be required on a part-time basis for two days a week (Monday and Tuesday). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging RE lessons, planning and marking, and attending parent's evenings.

Responsibilities:

Delivering the RE curriculum in line with school and national standards.

Planning and preparing lessons and teaching materials.

Marking student's work and providing constructive feedback.

Participating in parent's evenings and communicating effectively with parents/carers.

Supporting student's academic and personal development.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience teaching RE at a secondary school level.

Strong classroom management skills.

Ability to inspire and motivate students.Additional Information:

The permanent RE teacher will return from maternity leave in May 2025 on a part-time basis. The maternity cover teacher will continue for two days a week until the end of the academic year
