Are you a qualified Dispenser looking for a rewarding locum opportunity in the West Midlands? We have an exciting role with competitive pay and flexibility for a Locum Dispenser within an NHS Hospital Outpatient Service.

• Job Title: Locum Dispenser - Hospital based

• Location: Outskirts of Birmingham, West Midlands, near Warwick

• Duration: 2-3 months

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30-minute lunch). Part time can be considered

• Start Date: ASAP, Feb 2025

• Rate of Pay: £14.50 - £16.00 per hour (via Umbrella)

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Locum Dispenser, you will be responsible for dispensing medications and assisting with medication management in an NHS outpatient setting. Your main duties will include:

• Dispensing medications for outpatient prescriptions • Ensuring accuracy in medication dispensing and delivery • Supporting the wider pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks • Communicating effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and other stakeholders • Following NHS procedures and regulations

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or an equivalent qualification (this is non-negotiable) • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in dispensing medications • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • A passion for supporting patient care and the NHS

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a full-time or part-time flexible position with standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The contract is for an initial 2-3 months with an ASAP start. No prior hospital experience is necessary for this role, though some experience in dispensing is essential.
