Data Centre Infrastructure Project Manager

Position: Data Centre Infrastructure Project Manager

Contract Type: 6 Months with scope for long term extensions

Location: Flexible and Hybrid (1-2 days in the office) either Warwick or Wokingham.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a multi-Data Centre migration project, overseeing the installation of new infrastructure services. You'll work from inception to completion with a skilled Agile delivery team and third-party suppliers, delivering essential infrastructure services for our applications.

Your Skills and Experience:

* Proven project management experience with IT infrastructure projects for physical and virtual Data Centres.

* Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

* Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar tools, utilising data-based decision-making techniques (GANTT charts, etc.).

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a strong customer focus.

* Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience; relevant industry certification (e.g., Prince2, PMI) is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

* Take ownership of Data Centre infrastructure delivery between legacy and upgraded Data Centres.

* Collaborate with project managers and product managers to prioritise and plan application releases.

* Manage financial tracking and forecasting, ensuring adherence to project budgets.

* Oversee RAID management, providing weekly status updates and monthly reports to the Programme Management Board.

* Lead critical dependencies, risks, plans, and resources across interlinked projects within a multi-supplier ecosystem.

* Create comprehensive project plans, enforce deadlines, and manage risk logs effectively.

* Drive improvements to existing processes and procedures to deliver value to our organisation.
