Senior Project Engineer – Major Infrastructure Project

Location: Plymouth, UK

Endeavour Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of critical civil infrastructure, ensuring the successful design and implementation of key facility upgrades.

Role Overview:

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for managing sub-packages within a critical civils design package, working closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with time, cost, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Package Manager in delivering multiple sub-packages.

Ensure design deliverables meet stringent quality criteria and governance processes.

Work with schedule, commercial, cost, and risk management functions to deliver packages on time and within budget.

Assist in developing project scope and solutions for specific work packages.

Interpret supply chain reporting to inform planning, monitoring, and control.

Oversee cost and budget monitoring.

Manage risk processes, including identification, assessment, planning, and implementation of risks, opportunities, and issues.

Assist in administering the NEC contract using CEMAR.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Experience in project or design management, ideally within infrastructure delivery.

Knowledge of NEC4 contract management is highly desirable.

Experience working on safety-critical infrastructure projects, particularly within regulated environments, is advantageous.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM subject area.

Desirable qualifications include APM project management accreditation (or equivalent) and NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation.

Additional Information:

Frequent travel may be required to consultant offices across the UK.

Regular visits to Devonport will be necessary to engage with the construction delivery team.
